In your Microsoft Word word-processor, bring up the "character list" by hitting ALT-I, then S. The list shows symbols that you can select with your mouse (much like selecting an icon in Yahoo IM). This includes the ♪ and ♫.

In some cases you can get the same symbol by a SHORTCUT: by typing a special combination of keys from your keyboard. To learn the shortcut for some symbol, just hover your cursor over that symbol on the character-list.

As it happens, there is no shortcut for ♪ and ♫. But the character-list allows you to create a shortcut of your own.

Hm, well I'm not quite sure how to make them with the codes. But I do know how to get them. On your computer, go to "start" then "All Programs" then continue on to "Accessories" then go to "System Tools" And it should say on there something like "Character Map" on there it should have a bunch of those.

Hope that helps.
