I think he is considered a hero because he would go that "extra mile" and do what had to be done, whether it be violent or not.
He is defending his country and its honour. He is stopping terrorists and saving lives. Most people would find that heroic.
It would be totally different if he were not on the "good" side.

It's just a story that most people around the world enjoy, because he acts out our fantasy's, and in truth the real world is much as it is shown in the films, if you had to deal with some of the violent people i do then you would think James Bond was soft
And remember James Bond is british, and you talk about violent psychopath what about Jack out of 24, is he not just as bad

It seems that there is a great gap in the information commonly held by the general public .... I don't know why or how it happened, but there was an era when all
thoughts beyond 'yeah' were not possible for at least one generation
When I started hearing that young men liked Bond movies, I sensed that there were a lot
of bare ladies (ladies???) in the movies and
it gave them a chance to look at dames rather than buy porn ..... is that not so? That is what I saw when I was unfortunate enough to see a little of one of the movies recently...porn & violence.

There are steps you can take to actually build a strong, stable marriage and avoid divorce. Read here https://tr.im/HAX0v
Here are some key steps to apply to your marriage:
- Start by understanding and being informed.
You can never be too informed about tools, methods and studies about building successful marriages. Understand the risk factors like your age and maturity at marriage can determine how successful it will be, the anatomy of an affair and what you can do after infidelity. Understand the success factors like the personal and psychological circumstances that will influence your marriage, what are the tools and approaches available to you in dealing with conflict, and numerous other relevant data. All this information is readily available to you whether through self-help material, through a counselor, support group or other venues. In fact, we have made it our commitment to provide these to you in different formats to help you make the best marriage you can.
The thing is, remember, this is information is not available for you to begin hyper-psychoanalyzing your relationship, yourself and your partner. It's not a matter of spewing trivia for the sake of conversation ' information is there for you to ponder over and internalize to help you transform yourself and your marriage. That includes maturing to such a point that you become more competent in your knowledge but more prudent in approach.

Because he does all the things that many people would like to do like visit exotic lands, meet interesting people and have a never ending supply of formal wear.
Then he does things that some people would like to do but have sense enough not to try, like play with dangerous weapons, take chances, kill evil people. And he gets a lot of women. Probably, it's that last part that sells most people on the idea.

Various varieties of 'psychopath', clinically. The physically aggressive psychopath who gets on the front page of the tabloids is only one of the flavours. The woman who makes an advantageous marriage by 'accidentally' getting pregnant can be put on the menu. Apologies by the way if you found me rude when I was having a bit of oblique fun.

Some women fancy him(though many hate the film series as sexist and demeaning to women),men fancy having his life.
Sad but true.
And your right if he was real he'd be an alcoholic sociopath with sex-addiction issues.
Most action film heroes would be borderline sociopaths if they were real though due to how easily they kill people.

Because although Bond himself if ficticious, this is exaclty how the morons in the laughably named British intelligence service are, right wing, homocidal maniacs and of course Tory Liar, and all the so called members of the labour party in this Tory government absolutely love them.

OK, he's violent but then he is often dealing with terrorists and ruthless megalomaniacs. I wouldn't call him a psychopath though. He's a hero. How many times has he saved the world???

He's not really a psycho at all.. it's his job to protect his country and stop evil nasty types from blowing up the world with giant lasers and stuff! If he went around popping caps in his spare time or in tescos maybe you'd have a point.
