I have done a scavenger hunt in the mall. Works great if you can't depend on the weather and it is sooo different. My daughters friends talked about it long after the party was over. All the the items they "find" which I had them purchase at stores were saved to share as treats for the guests. Split them into teams of atleast 3 or 4 and don't have them going to the same place at the same time as the other team. Pizza and cake afterwards.

play scrabble. go to a movie... or watch one at home. could always see a minor league baseball game.
I played spin the bottle, but these days with homosexuality running rampant and disease... you might want to avoid it. Actually, my 13th sucked. You're too big for kiddie fun, but too young to appreciate a cocktail type of formal or intellectual thing.
