A wolf eel (dead of course...they may even be extinct). While at the Maritime Museum in Vancouver, Bristish Columbia, we entered the "mummy" room. I expected to find the usual "egyptian" mummies, which we did, but this creature was unbelievable. We recoiled in horror at first...it is such a horribly monstrous thing...but our curiosity got the better of us. We approached it slowly...really taking everything in...marvelling at it's fairytale quality...all the while knowing this had once been a living creature. It had a huge head...like that of a deformed wolf...and a thick long body like an eel. I spent the next week asking everyone I knew and everyone I encountered if they had ever heard of a wolf eel...no one had. I told them all if they really wanted to see something amazing...to go check it out! Google it...you can see for yourself :)

The painting "Tree of Life" there were marks on the floor at ten feet intervals, you were instructed to start at the back of the room. At 60 ft, it was a big tree, At 50 ft, a lot of details in the tree, At 40, a couple of faces, at 30 one face, at 20ft aerial view of a town, at 10ft people and houses and inches away detailed people that made up the entire painting. An art class to the MOMA in NYC, by a Russian painter AWESOME will never forget it or the process of looking at it.

I got to see the original ruby red slippers used in the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz when the Smithsonian put on an exhibit in Houston Texas. I was in awe because I loved The Wizard of Oz. The movie was my favorite as a child.

I saw a painting of a girl who looked just like me! It was an old painting...the friends I had with me agreed.
Other than that I saw ancient Egyptian jewelry, it appealed to me because it was beautiful and so old. I imagined the people who wore it...old stuff is cool.

A fossil of a cave spider. It's fossils have only been found in England and this part of North America. Kind of gave me physical proof that 'drifting' continents really happen.

Peace
