Does anyone have a plausible explanation and a motive.

It is unlikely that JonBonet's father was involved in the murder, and as such there is no plausible explanation or motive.
Some of the evidence that points away from the father (or other family members)....
- JonBonet's body had possible taser marks on it, yet nobody in the family had a taser or stun gun
- The father himself found the body, which is rare... usually, if the killer knows where a body is, he will get someone else to 'discover' the victim
- The ransom note was more consistent with a young male (e.g. it made references to certain action movies at the time), rather than a middle-age father
- Some items used in the home invasion/killing appeared to come from outside the house

I do not believe that he or his wife had anything to do with Jon-Benet's murder. They were cleared by way of DNA evidence from the beginning. As to why a parent could kill their own child, I can't even fathom the thought. It does happen every day and it makes me sick. To ask why a person kills or rapes, there is no logical reason.

Why would any parent harm their child. Some people are sick, twisted individuals who don't need reasons, they just do things. If the dad did it maybe it was because she said no more. No more pagents, no more prissy, sissy clothes, which would mean no more free money through the labors of his daughter. Worse yet, maybe he was a sick pervert who was pis sed off because his daughter said no more midnight "tuck ins".

I don't think he did.
I can understand his being suspected, of course; he wouldn't have been the first father to kill a child.
Since I don't think he did it though, I can't speculate on a motive if he had.
