I have six of them! It is GOOD to rotate them. It keeps scabs from building up. Usually like a walmart will do it. But in some states (like Ks) you have to go to a piercing/tattoo salon to get cartilage piercings.

They hurt for a few weeks. They are usually done with a 20 or 18. the larger the number, the smaller the hole.

Whoever does the piercing should give you instructions for after care.

I use to work as a liscensed piercer i did cartilage piercings all the time but i used a gun to do them. The pain all depends on how far up you go the further the more pain although when i did get mine done it just stinged for a few seconds then it turned numb the amount of time they take to heal is crazy mine was sore for about a month. It is not bad to twist them it is recommended that you do twist them twice daily while cleaning them. good luck

It hurts!! Lol. And you're supposed to twist them. With mine I don't know what happened, I didn't take care of it right or w/e but it started bleeding and got all messed up. So I had to take it out. THAT HURT!!! So be careful =)
