Fake Tan hasnt faded?

At Christmas i used "Istant Fake Tan" this kind where it stains the skin, its supposed to come off with soap and water, but hasnt come off after 4 months!!! what can i do remove it ?!

rub lemons over the area that is tan. if that doesn't work, exfoliate and wash it with toothpaste. these should work, if they dont then i'm out of ideas.
