Why won't my mother allow me to help my brother with a project?

She has no clue what she's doing, while I did the same project when I was in that grade.

What I mean is, she is doing the project for him, and won't let me help him by letting him learn for himself what to do.

I did the project by myself, and he doesn't want her help.
He can do it himself.

Exactly, you already did the project so let your brother do it. he needs to learn about it just like you did. he needs to learn responsibility,so be the big sis and let him doo it on his own. if you dont he'll never learn.

Maybe your mother feels that since she is the parent, she ought to know more than you do, and that you wouldn't be able to help as much as she. illogical, given the circumstances, but some adults feel this way.

the same reason she wouldn't want you to do his homework for him. he wouldn't learn anything and you would be depriving him of the great feeling of satisfaction he will feel when he can see what he has accomplished on his own. also it will build his confidence and self esteem.
