So, India is "officially" out of the world cup now - they should indeed be ashamed. Bangladesh played very well and they deserved to be in Super 8s.
Anyway, what do you guys think India's overall performace in world cup 2007 was?

I would say Poor. I wouldn't say Terrible because I want to give them credit of the score against Bermuda...but that's all.

The way they performed against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, they dont deserve a place in Super 8. While their performance against Bangladesh was terrible considering the fact that Bangladesh are a minor team and have not won many international matches, their performance against Sri Lanka was very poor.

Team India went to the West Indies and set a World Record and game back with a big 'andaa' [ Egg ] We can pride our self that they are not involved in Match Fixing Scandals.
See Sachin acting in the Advertisement for the Eggs Promotion Council!
He also scored a Zero in the Match against Sri Lanka [ bowled without scoring]
His rates for advertisements are with many zeros following 5 [ e.g. Rs. 500000 ]

My comment: I have already answered a similar question. I am repeating it here too:
I think that Indian players would learn to respect their opponents and let us find some civility in this gentlemen's game where lot of foul playing and such mean talks of match-fixing are floating around.
Indian teams are great so are the Pakistani and Sri Lankan teams. We look forward to a series of interesting matches among these neighboring countries of South Asia and forget about match-fixing scapegoat (person blamed for others' shortcomings) terms.
So, please do not write them off and be kind to the ones who were not 'corrupted' with showmanship and advertisement money.
The main lure for some of the great players were glamour and money which also created discrimination among the team members, in my view, and these sponsorships and such hooplas are great de-motivator (in terms of human character/behaviour) for other less glamorous team members!

the worst , any team which have been playin for this long can win against bermuda. so , that's not something we can feel good about.
the poor people who play for indian team and who pray for this team are to be blamed . the former for not concentrating in cricket and busy with commercials and the latter not understanding the value of their time and watching the fools play the game.
let the people treat those poor souls with a low dignity.. because they don't even deserve sympathy.

While Pakistan were without 3 potential matchwinners - Asif, Razzaq and Shoaib Akhtar, India had all their key players. Not even 1 of them was injured but inspite of it, India still lost to Bangladesh & Sri Lanka. Pakistan were also without their regular openers-IMRAN FARHAT, YASIR HAMEED & SALMAN BUTT courtesy Inzy's mindless selection.
