It would be nice to share ideas without the tween flames.

HAHA. Don't listen to Yankee's answer... he's only 14.

I don't know about you, but I get sick of listening to babies in huggies who can't even vote spouting off their inexperienced political beliefs. There should be an adults only political discussion area because I, personally, only want to engage in political discussions with those who have actually experienced politics--- or at least voted!

It would be a depressing area, as we would quickly discover that there is little difference.

The anonymity of the internet allows for one to state their opinions not only boldly, but with firm force and conviction that all others are wrong. Few people do this in the physical world, and they are typically considered boorish and dislikable. On the internet, people can agree and bandwagon without such fear of alienating friends, family, or other important people.

The trouble with moderated forums is, of course, political bias on the part of the moderators. Sadly, it seems nearly impossible to engage in rational political debate with a political opposite, except for on a personal level.

If only there were a way!! It would be heaven not to have to put up with all the teenybopper crapla, wouldn't it?

It is so hard to find a mature question and mature answers. Too many empty uneducated heads who can't spell, can't express a reasonable thought in a sentence nor an idea in a paragraph.

If they ever find a way - I'll vote for it!!

No, because as someone else said, many adults act like children, and many teens have at least some maturity. There should be a discussion area where people should act like adults, regardless of their age.

Yes I have thought of this and think it would be nice to talk in an adult manner about political opinions. I like to keep an open mind to anyone ideas but hate the name calling that goes on. I never answer hateful, childish questions and think if we just ignored them some would just go away.

Yes, there absolutly be an Adult's Only section. The fact is that underage children should be informed about how the government works, not be exposed to liberal or conservative ideas. They should learn their ideas about how the world works, and side with the people they agree with most.

It's better that way than having 14-year kids telling me how inferior I am.

I personally would love that. A heated but respectful dialogue would be great. I think yahoo should set that up. Any name calling and disrespectful conversation would be treated as abuse.

On the other hand, people that wished to participate in such a dialogue would refuse to answer the nasties. As in ignore them. They will go away.

That would make a lot of sense, but I think some of the rants are coming from otherwise reasonable adults as well.

That would be stupendous, might I add, the whole web site of Yahoo/Answer should be strictly categorized as adult and minors. I am sure I am not the only one who seem to see questions that are so unbelievable and answers as well.

I understand what you mean, but, Yahoo Answers is NOT a "discussion" forum, and I doubt Yahoo wants to show bias in there efforts.
