Ghandi was not a guru. Majority of the Indians are actually ashamed of Ghandi

Forget the title and be what you want to be 100%. The effort of trying to be something is self defeating in the ideal that you'll never be it because everything you do towards the goal will only be an effort to try to be something that you're apparently not because there wouldn't be a :try: if you actually were it. It'd just be what you did. People like Ghandi are what they are because they're 100% and they accept nothing less of themselves standard wise.

Neither Rome was built in a day and neither was Ghandi inspired to become the great leader he was all in one day. It used to bug the heck out of me when an older friend of mine used to tell me that the only way to gain wisdom was to get older. I hated when he said that. Then one day I realized, dag-nab him, that he was correct.

To become great, for most people like Ghandi, it takes a lifetime of work, training and gaining knowledge, and a lifetime of selflessness. Too often people assume that true giving of oneself to others, to help others, is just a momentary thing that we can do anytime we want. Untrue. True selflessness takes training and it can take decades to achieve.

Ready to being that journey? It seems impossible. But, as Mao said (par phrasing Confucius), the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
