I think it all comes down to championship and playoff experience.
Everyones talking about 3 teams, because they are proven: Detroit Pistons, Spurs who have won a few and the Heat.
We know these 3 teams will play great ball during the playoffs.
I think if the Mavs do win it this year, next year you'll hear the respect for the Mavs.

I think because the Phoenix Suns r the 2nd best team in the NBA and have more star power. I heard some rumors that the only reason the Mavs beat the Suns in the playoffs last year was that Amare Stoudamire wasn't playing.
Well now the Mavs can stop those rumors and kick the Suns @$$ now that Amare is playin again.

That is a good question! The Mavs are 58-11! How can you not have respect for them? Everyone in TX loves them of course but even the other states should at least respect what the Mavs and Avery Johnson have accomplished this season... and they are-without a doubt- winning it all this year!

everyteam in the nba has respect 4 the mava becasue they are the best team n there are gonna win the championship this year no dout about it
