They like facists as long as they don't get too uppity like HItler. Now facists like Gen Pinochet who massacre thousands are fine because they didn't threaten american interests. It has never been about promoting democracy, it's always been about promoting american interests (investors and corporations).

Republicans love fascism, they just can't come out and say it. They have to make it look like liberals are against something similar to fascism, but under a different, yet patriotic sounding name - like the Patriot Act or the American Family Association (the KKK for the homosexual community). The inherent personal insecurity in all conservatives does the rest.

Fascism is just another form of repressive socialist government. Of course Republicans would oppose it. Watching fascists fight communism is sort of like watching a fight between a scorpion and a spider does it really matter who wins as long as they both suffer.

Any form of government if taken to the extreme is dangerous and should be avoided.
Fascism is the radical right
communism is the radical left
Im a democrat, that doesn't mean I support communism!

They don't hate the fascists. We loved the fascists when they first dropped into power. They were to buffer Western Europe against Communism. But it didn't work out so well...

Why are you only singling out one side?
I have not been made aware of any conservative groups trying to block free speech. Yet, I see liberals on here all the time wanting Fox News taken off the air. Leftists on college campuses refuse to let *invited* conservative pundits speak.
I live in a state where mushing, hunting, fishing, trapping and wearing fur are a part of everyday life here, not to mention *extremely* traditional. Yet animal rights groups, who *do* tend to be made up of liberals, constantly wage war against innocent, law-abiding Alaskans just because they don't approve of our way of life. Guess what? We really don't give a **** - just leave us alone. But no, that's not good enough. Mushers and trappers get harassed and even terrorized by these worthless, pompous idiots who have *no* idea wtf they are talking about. What do I mean by "terrorized"? I mean death threats - not just against the men in question, but including their wives and CHILDREN in their death threats. So please spare me the "holier than thou" bull ****.
I'm against extremists, period. Right wing *or* left. THEY are ruining this country, not the everyday Republicans and Democrats. We all need to quit this petty bickering and start to focus on what we have in common, which is *far* more than we have different.

I oppose fascism because it is an overthrow of government by the mob, and is followed by a rule by tyranny.

If you were a human rights activist, would you support a culture that engaged in ritual rape of young girls, just because they opposed the death penalty?
You can't throw your support towards a bad system just because it opposes another bad system. It's not the same as "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".

They don't really hate fascism. They say they do, but what they mean is that they are glad the U.S. beat the Nazis in WW2.
Well, everybody with a brain and a heart is glad about that. But modern right-wingers in the U.S. would like to see their own brand of fascism here. They just don't CALL it "fascism".

Neocons are fascists, and so is their leader! They only need to look that far!
Fascism (IPA: [ËfæË.Êɪ.zmÌ©]) is a political ideology and mass movement that seeks to place the nation, defined in exclusive biological, cultural, and/or historical terms, above all other sources of loyalty, and to create a mobilized national community. Many different characteristics are attributed to fascism by different scholars, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, authoritarianism, militarism, corporatism, collectivism, anti-liberalism, and anti-communism.
Which part dont they meet?
