No, you can't use any umbrella strollers until they are at least 16 to 20 month old umbrella strollers don't have the proper back support for infants, the only umbrella stroller in the market that have the proper back support is Chicco's C5 strollers and it cost around $100.

I love love love Maclaren Strollers and they say that once the baby is 3 months old that they are good to use them. I used my double Maclaren when my son was 3 months old and he was absolutely fine, just try not to hit too many hard bumps.

A Maclaren is supposed to be okay for children 3 months and up unless you have the techno which is good from birth. The volo is from 6 months and up but your baby would be ok in that as well. I know they look small but they should be safe as long as the straps are appropriately adjusted :0)

At 8 months old she should be able to sit up on her own, so she will be fine in that stroller.

If she can sit in it comfortably then there should be no problem. I don't like to use an umbrella stroller till about 12 months because when they fall asleep you can't lay them back. Just have an extra blankie handy so you can use for padding if she falls asleep.

Once they can sit supported they can go in an umbrella stroller. Also the manual should tell you what sized baby it is for.

wish i could help, i am a mom to five children and have never used a stroller, when they are newborns they need to be close, before they could walk i put them in a snugly, sometimes we use a backpack holder, when we hike or something like that, but when they can walk , we let them, by the time she is big enough for that stroller she will be able to walk, and she will want to, strollers are for the parent not the child, sounds like she might be your first, so you don't really need to be chasing a lot of kids, so why restain her

Pad the stroller seat with some quilts so she doesn't seem so small. The stroller is fine for her.

As long as she's safely buckled in and is able to keep her head up steadily, which I'm sure she can at 8 months, I wouldn't see a problem.
