I was born in 1955 and when we were in school there was no such thing as sex education. If things now were like back then there would be less unplanned pregnacies and all these veneral diseases. When the girls turned 12-13 we took a paper home for our parents to sign giving their permission for their daughters to see a film and talk with a nurse from the local Health Department. The boys went through the same thing, but I'm sure they saw a different film. People are just too open minded today! My 8 yr. old grand-daughter probably already knows as much as I do.

I was the same way - I heard about it at like 8 and I basically just thought it was making out, and that it was somehow linked to making babies, haha. Then when I was 9 I learned about how you get pregnant, and then in 10 I really learned about sex in family living.

I had a pretty good book my parents gave me when I was about 5 or 6, on how bodies work, and babies and all that. It was pretty clear on most points but unfortunately left some areas vague enough that I had a couple of really strange misconceptions about exactly where things were located until I was older.

Sigh...unfortunatly I was 7. It was a very inappropriate time for a child to be informed about sex. I think it really took away from the whole childhood experience personally.

Probably, 9 and 10. I was reading a book and it had something referring to sex, so I was curious and researched the topic.

i thought girls were wimps till i was 10,and then i became very curious.so i poked around and found out anything i could ,i would go to book stores and stuff and look at any naked girl i could find.i guess i discovered sex on my own.i come from a middle eastern decent and that was never ,never discussed.
