I have always worked out and tried to watch what i eat but the last year as i approach my late forties, my middle seems to be getting thicker! I try to do cardio and weight training atleast 3 times a week, but it seems to be getting worse.....HELP! Is this because of peri-menopause???? What can i do to get rid of my stomach pooch???

Aging causes loss of muscle and this often contributes to weight gain; peri-menopause could be a culprit-I would suggest supplementing with omegas, chromium and carnitine...if you add circuit training/interval training...you'll tone your tummy in no time

Get a good physical from your doctor including blood workup. It can be hormones, thyroid, you know that kind of stuff. Do crunches, running, bicycling, etc. I sure hope that it turns out that there's an easily correctable cause.
