Al Gore's newest book, AN ASSAULT ON REASON, is due to hit the bookstores on May 22.
Amazon.com describes the book as "a farsighted and powerful manifesto for clear thinking".
I'm thinking he'll be announcing his candidacy shortly afterwards.
I've already ordered my copy. You should, too.

Why would he want to be President? He is making far too much money going around promoting his documentary and doing public speaking. I think Gore is done with politics.

I think that is exactly what it going to happen. Clinton is already faltering. And Obama, before this is over, Clinton will do a number on him. At some point, Al is going to enter the race, armed with his Oscar and possibly a Nobel Prize, and the Dem's will literally fall at his feet.

Al Gore is not a "dark horse". I think he's playing this one brilliantly. He's going to let Hillary, Obama and Edwards fight it out, and then, at the last minute he'll announce his candidacy and win the nomination.
