I mow over mine because I like the small, but you can also just keep pulling them up, roots and all, til they stop coming back.

But if your neighbor is growing chives, you'll always have them in your yard. Mine came from my neighbor.

They're not chives, they're nut grass.Go to your local garden center. They have plenty of solutions for you.

You can spray them with Weed-B-Gone. That's what I do but you will probably have to do it every year.
