Hi, I wonder though if that is what you have got?
These days pubic lice are not common, I reckon that if you have a problem its more likely to be a fungal infection.
Whatever. If it is lice, then shaving the area is good, use a greasy cream and a proper anti head lice potion. Believe it or not do not wash it too frequently because crabs can ONLY survive in clean hair. ( Well do but immediately reapply the greasy cream)
If it is fungal, crotch itch, then treat as athletes foot, let the air get to the affected parts. This is very common in overweight and/or diabetic people. Women call it thrush.
This is one reason I wear a kilt as mens clothing of synthetics gets your bits too hot.
Symptoms are red blotchy itchy patches up or in any creases or folds in the skin.

Hmm, well from what I've heard, krabs just live on the surface of the skin in the hair, so I think just shaving the hair off would do the trick.

That's gross, but you do it in much the same way you do lice. Shaving is a good idea too. Change bed sheets, wash clothes in HOT water. Spray the mattress.

Go to the drug store there are things you can buy over the counter. Look in the lice section. Don't listen to that fool.
