Napoleon is a Pig who has some standing political power on animal farm. During the book He sends a team of trotter-trained dogs after his rival Snowball, and they proceed to chase him off the farm. Napoleon then pronounces himself Dictator and with his dogs to silent any opposition he stays there. He also awards himself Animal Hero 1st and 2nd Class. He then uses Squealer a younger pig to weave his lies of deception amongst the other animals. The 7 commandments that all the animals agreed on in the beginning of the book slowly change.
Key: each Commandment (the added bits).

Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
No animal shall wear clothes.
No animal shall sleep in a bed (with sheets).
No animal shall drink alcohol (to excess).
No animal shall kill any other animal (without cause).
All animals are equal (but some are more equal then others).

The sheep sing a chant through out the book based on the first 2 commandments. It goes: FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS BAD.

Napoleon and the other pigs then start walking on 2 legs and the pigs teach the sheep a new chant that goes: FOUR LEGS GOOD, TWO LEGS BETTER.

Napoleon also blames any problem on the farm on the "treachorous snowball".

Orwell is explaining the story of the russian revolution so each character plays a part Napoleon plays Stalin and Squealer plays the propaganda agents.

Animal Farm isn't precisely an allegory for WW2, that's an allegory for the Russian Revolution and Soviet history foremost as much as WW2. Napoleon does characterize Stalin. previous substantial is meant to be a Marx/Lenin combination. The pig that gets chased off the farm with the help of Napoleons canines (Snowsomething?) represents Trotsky, valuable regularly occurring in the process the Russian Civil war, then after Stalin took potential exiled for having a different ideology. The revolt with the help of the chickens and Napoleon's reaction is a connection with the compelled collectivization of the Ukraine and the mass starvation that Stalin enforced. And the main suitable financial disaster is with regard to the excellent failure of the folk's revolution, because it further approximately purely yet another group of elites working the rustic for his or her very own earnings, fairly than for the coolest of the folk. numerous the concepts i hit upon maximum appropriate are using propaganda (Squealer is staggering, btw), the concept that the pigs are at last an identical because of fact the folk, and the immortal slogan "All animals are equivalent, some are extra equivalent than others." Propaganda i think of is exceedingly self explanatory. you will possibly desire to learn the pigs transforming into human beings interior the context of political marketing campaign supplies. lots of individuals run on the promise of reform, and intensely few certainly follow via on it. and you will possibly desire to learn the slogan to the belief of government with the help of and for the folk.

From SparkNotes

From the very beginning of the novella, Napoleon emerges as an utterly corrupt opportunist. Though always present at the early meetings of the new state, Napoleon never makes a single contribution to the revolution—not to the formulation of its ideology, not to the bloody struggle that it necessitates, not to the new society’s initial attempts to establish itself. He never shows interest in the strength of Animal Farm itself, only in the strength of his power over it. Thus, the only project he undertakes with enthusiasm is the training of a litter of puppies. He doesn’t educate them for their own good or for the good of all, however, but rather for his own good: they become his own private army or secret police, a violent means by which he imposes his will on others.
Although he is most directly modeled on the Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, Napoleon represents, in a more general sense, the political tyrants that have emerged throughout human history and with particular frequency during the twentieth century. His namesake is not any communist leader but the early-eighteenth-century French general Napoleon, who betrayed the democratic principles on which he rode to power, arguably becoming as great a despot as the aristocrats whom he supplanted. It is a testament to Orwell’s acute political intelligence and to the universality of his fable that Napoleon can easily stand for any of the great dictators and political schemers in world history, even those who arose after Animal Farm was written. In the behavior of Napoleon and his henchmen, one can detect the lying and bullying tactics of totalitarian leaders such as Josip Tito, Mao Tse-tung, Pol Pot, Augusto Pinochet, and Slobodan Milosevic treated in sharply critical terms.
