Do any women out there wear leotards to the gym anymore? It was very popular in the 80s and early 90's. The shiny spandex look needs to come back. I really don't like those bellbotttom workout pants that most women wear ot the gym these days.

Yeah I hear you my brother. I personaly wear the leo at the advice of yahoo answers lol. I find theese bell bottom work out pants soo hot and horendoues. I REALLY like wearing less. for 2 reasons: One I have the body for it and Two: I work quite a sweat. I REALLY want thoose fashions to come back PLEASE bring them back!!!!!

They probably won't make a come back. Most women going to the gym are not in the greatest of shape (hence why they are going) and the shiny spandex, will only highlight, rather harshly, the areas they already know need work. And plus spandex is really uncomfortable, can ride up and bunch in inconvenient places and doesn't breathe the greatest. Not all the work out pants being worn now are that bad, they make some great capri style, straight leg/boot cut styles, etc. Super cute and really comfortable without being flashy or detrimental to the female form. I prefer a short sleeve Under Armor shirt, and some cotton short shorts (like the type cheerleaders wear)

Most women in the world arent skinny and are a bit CHUNKy so if they were to wear spandex that means the whole gym would see this chunky monky walking around with her fat *** hanging out of her spandex or leotard. So yoga pants hide that plus you can buy them anywhere. I wear shorts and a spandex bra kind of top to the gym.

I guess they are too revealing! Spandex can now be 'incorporated' into all styles of clothing, thus,,people who don't want everyone to see 'what they got',,,no longer have to,,and still have the flexiwear to enable them to workout with no material pulls. If you want to see leotards,,the dance studio is the place to be,,however,,it isn't nice to 'stare'! hehehehe

most of the time, women aren't very keen on struting around the gym in their spandex hot shorts and neon leotards, thank you very much!
besides, yoga pants are comfy (and thanks to stella, we can now wear flattering designer ones!)
