It's translucent face powder that makes your skin matte, or not shiny. You probably don't need it unless you have really oily skin and your face is shiny or feels greasy. In that case, it's the perfect thing for you. It really depends on your skin type. You can also use foundation to blend your skin tone and cover the shiny places, but powder is easier to apply and will feel more natural.

Matte-fying powder is kind of redundant. The point of powder in general is to reduce shine. It absorbs some of the surface oils in foundation and on your skin in general. At 14, be sure not to use too much makeup, b/c it can and will clog pores.

Mattifying takes the shine out. It gives oily skin a nice matte finish. If you have oily skin I would recommend it otherwise there are also blotters that you blot your face with that work really good for taking the oil off without wiping your make-up off.

i doubt you need it... it just makes your skin all even and not shiny... Cover Girl makes it in pressed powder form.

If your worried about shine just use Clearasil Oil abosorbing sheets as part of your face washing routine.

Your only 14. I am sure you look fine... with or without make- up.

its a powder but it looks like a cream it usually gives a better coverage and blends better with you skin and if ur skin tone is uneven then u may want to use it but at the age of 14 i wasnt thinking aboutmake up i honestly barely use it now

You usually apply that powder last to reduce shine and oilyness. Make sure to cleanse your face and moisturize before going to bed everyday. Since you're younger you probably don't need to use it unless you want to reduce shine.
