I am afraid the preson who anwsered number two is correct. Imagine looking at the earth directly towards the north pole and seeing it spin in one direction. Now if you move yourself to a position such that you are looking directly at the south pole you will see it rotating in the other direction. Think about this carefully and you will see it is true or you can try it with a globe or any other object look at it from above then below. I used a slinky.

It spins both ways, if you are in a rocket at the very top of the world, it'll spin one way, if you sit in a rocket at the very opposite axis of the world then it will be spinning in the opposite direction.
Well I did a google on this matter to see what everyone else thinks about this, and I found some evidence which isn't really related but proves which direction it spins in... "VENUS only Planet Rotating ANTI-CLOCKWISE!!!!"
So the world must spin Clockwise, because if it doesn't then Venus isn't the only planet spinning clockwise, which this site says it does.... thats presuming that this site is correct.
So theres your answer, its not tested to be 100% reliable, but its probably right, people who write sites about planets usually know what their doing unless its fiction...

1. The world spins west to east. The sun appears to rise in the east, and later it is overhead, so we are moving in an easterly direction.
2. To know whether it is spinning clockwise or counterclockwise, you have to know which pole you are observing from, because the answer is different in either case. If you are looking from the north pole, you'll see the spin being in a counterclockwise direction. From the south pole, it will be clockwise.

He's right, sorry. Sometimes straightforward answers are wrong answers. That's why people do that.
From west to east is the answer. Clockwise or anticlockwise means nothing unless you're hovering in a space ship above the north or south pole. The answer you get depends on which pole you hover above.

It's not really complicated. From above the north pole it would appear to turn anticlockwise, and from the south clock wise. But every thing in space is moving all the time. etc.

1)...Wherever you're standing, if you're facing the sun-rise, the sun slowly gets higher in the sky.
The earth is therefore rotating towards the east ..i.e. clockwise.
2)...They simply want the 2 points for answering.
