Henna is definitely safe and it sounds like a great idea. Thanks for sharing. I hadn't even thought about it. I'd put off the tattoo though for risks of infections and all of the obvious things ppl will tell you on here, but honestly I suggest it mostly because you will be getting bigger, your skin will be stretching, and your body will be changing. You don't want to get a tattoo and have it lose its shape by the end of the pregnancy. My cousin got a heart tattooed on her and by the end of the pregnancy she had gained so much weight it looked like a big red blob.

well, if the tattooist knew you were pregnant, and they were any good and honest, they wouldnt tattoo you- but alot of people will do it anyway just to make money. You shouldnt get a tattoo when your're pregnant or breastfeeding because it stays in your blood for awhile, hence why you cant give blood if you've had a tattoo in the past 12 months etc. Also anything that raises your heartbeat, raises the baby's heartbeat, and any tattoo or peircing is a shock to the body and is definetly not reccomended when your body is busy trying to make a human being grow inside you.
Sucks i know, but you have to be patient.. im waiting on my next one lol.. was planning on a tattoo when i found out i was pregnant, so naturally that came first.

I don't know about henna, but a tattoo is a really bad idea for a pregnant woman. Why would you want to risk hurting your baby for the rest of its life (brain damage and neurological problems are permanent).

Since I know nothing about Henna tats I couldn't tell you but I know you shouldn't get a tat while you are pregnant. The needle could be or could get contaminated. The tat could get infected and it is hard to treat a pregnant women for fear of harming the child.

I don't see whats wrong with henna. It's basically ginger mixed with other things that temporarily dye your skin.

why don't you go to Claire's and buy a pack of rub on tattoos and just stick them on during the summer? or get sparkly stickers and just decorate yourself that way.
I've never had a baby before nor am i pregnant, but I would not do anything if there's a slight, even MINUTE chance of putting the baby at risk.
