I need to have a name of a book for outside reading groups tomorrow. Name a book(s) you would recommend, with the only requirements it being around 300 pages and at an adult reading level. Thanks.

1984 by George Orwell. It is also on video. A classic that stands the test of time.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini... outstanding book.
Angels & Demons and The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown
Anything written by Lee Child

V for Vendetta by Wachowski Brothers, but if uve seen the movie already its kinda ruined hehe also theres The Bride's Kimono by Sujata Massey. Look in your local library, just chose one at random, at least it helps you find your taste and search in those categories. Most books are awesome to read.

The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende is one of my absolute favorite books of all time - it may be a little longer than three hundred pages, but it's beautifully written.

I would recommend "Stranger in a strange land" by Robert Hielen and Brave new world by Aldous Huxley.

Pride and Prejudice.....a classic and a brilliant piece of writing. one of my all time favorite books.
