Okay, I just want to know what would attract others to a story with vampires. Whether it be romance, or kidnappings then romance! Whatever the genre. I just need helping in thinking what would people prefer.

The mystery - - - who is the bloodsucker - - - keep your protagonist hidden, propose a variety of suspects, let the issue evolve in an ordinary setting such as a club/disco, avoid gore (not the former VP) and keep mush out of the romance, focus on the potential dangers of hooking up..

Peace...

The vampire needs to be terrifying, yet irresistibly sexy! Think Jean-Claude in the Anita Blake Series (Laurell K. Hamiliton) or Lestat in The Vampire Chronicles (Anne Rice).

Fear. Its that simple. If the story is scary the rest will take care of it self. Ask yourself if a book is full of action but the vampires stink, who cares?
