It's: Jimi
I didn't correct you in your last question,
but if you want to honor the man,
at least spell his name properly.

Clapton is next in line, in my opinion.

Those are good answers.
But in my opinion, one thing you learn about art, is that there really is no 'best'.
If you ever attend a music festival, you will probably see amazing guitar players you never have heard of.
And there are players who have this soulful expression, but don't play a ton of notes, or don't play super fast. Yet they are in command of the instrument.
A guy like keith richards took rhythm guitar to the next level and invented a whole new genre. Much the way eddie van halen did with soloing. but keith is rarely considered one of the top boys, except by other rhythm players.
And there are genres like jazz, most of us don't know much about. It's not a style of music that is all that accessible, yet there are fabulous jazz guitarists, as there are flamenco, classical etc.

definitely, all 3 of 'em are hyped up. Yeah, I stated it. Eric, Jimi, and Jimmy... are hyped up. yet in my view, internet site is my fashionable. Hendrix is on the market in at a different 2d and Clapton? nicely, i'm not a extensive fan of Clapton.

David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. He isn't as fast or famous as most guitarist but he has a good sense of melody and he writes the most haunting and spinetingling guitar solos ever. He has such a unique sound.
