Seriously, it wouldn't make a difference. If you change the past all you would do would be create another parallel universe where things evolved differently as a result. Your own past and present would remain the same, otherwise you would create a paradox.

Cynically, I would say my own birth. But I think I'd go back and change the circumstances around Christ's death. While I understand the Christian concept of "why" he had to die, I would like to change the lack of actual witnesses and their ability to tell the "story" of what really happened. I would like to have the so called Gospels written right away, not years later when memories could be corrupted to ideology of the day.
