i have a 10 yr old and im pregnant now and using a relaxer throughout my pregnancy has never been a problem, its rare that relaxer can pass through the placenta to the baby and im not looking raggedy just because im pregnant :) Go ahead and straighten that hair girl :)

You should NOT perm/relax your hair while pregnant no matter how far along you are. Those chemicals ends up in your blood and can even be detected in your urine, so it's getting to the baby. No haircolor on the scalp, either.

I had to use a flat iron on my hair every time I got pregnant. And if you breastfeed you have to wait, too. If you're going to use formula you can get a perm right after the baby is born.

Best of luck to you! Take care mama

Your hormones are so messed up right now, you don't want to do anything to your hair. There's a good chance that anything you do won't hold and it sucks having a perm fall out two days after getting one!

Relax, be natural and keep in mind that your hormones aren't back to normal until about 6 months after birth so just try to be happy with your natural, beautiful pregnant self!

Good luck with baby!

They say it is not good to do anytime while pregnant. The chemicals can get into your bloodstream and get to your baby. Same thing applies to coloring hair unless it is a vegetable dye. Also, your hair my react differently to a perm while pregnant.

Your doctor may tell you no. It could make you more nauseous because your sense of smell is hightened.
