What expiriments have been done with sulfur?

What kind of expiriments have been done with sulfur?
I know Hydrogen sulfide has is put into stink bombs;
but, I need some sources. Cause I can't just say "hydrogen sulfide is in stink bombs". y'know?

So can anyone give me a site, or at least, RELIABLE information on:
An expiriment with Sulfur
Reliable information
and provide a website/URL?

Also;

does anyone know WHEN, WHO, and WHERE sulfur was found?

The use of H2S in stink-bombs is probably one of the least important uses of sulfur. And btw, wikipedia's a great place to start looking for info on almost any topic.
