how could that guy say Olaf Kolzig, his a great goalie on a terrible team.
yes Cloutier is one of the worst in many years hes always injured his GAA are very high especially in the playoffs of 3.21 GAA when he did play in the playoffs and this guy keeps getting chance after chances.
and as for an overrated goalie would have to look no further then Ryan Miller, his GAA are not that good and hes getting all his wins cause his team in front of him is scoring many goals. I know many Sabres fans would consider him a top 5 in the league well their just being bias, cause hes not really a top 10 in the league. put him in Edmonton then he would be destroyed so we need to stop giving him so much credit cause its players like Briere that are getting the wins not Miller.
HOCKEY G…>>>>>you should change your name cause your no hockey genius if you think Kolzig is a bad goalie hes been one of the better goalies for the past 10 years just never really had a team to play for.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The only answers to this question that make any sense whatsoever can be found below.
Jose Theodore - 11-14-1, 3.41 GAA, .888 SV%, and Colorado has a winning record (38-29-7 with a game tonight against Vancouver yet to be played)
Dan Cloutier - 6-14-2, 3.98 GAA, .860 SV%, and, IF he gets off Injured Reserve, his primary competition for LA's starting job has better stats across the board (Mathieu Garon - 12-9-6, 2.67 GAA, .907 SV%) and his secondary competition is also superior stat-wise (Sean Burke - 6-6-5, 2.96 GAA, .907 SV%)
Curtis Joseph (how the "mighty" have fallen) - 16-27-2, 3.12 GAA, .896 SV%, and he's the netminder I dislike most in the entire league
Marc Denis - 17-17-2, 3.15 GAA, .885 SV%, and (like Theodore in Colorado) Tampa Bay has a winning record (41-31-4)
All things considered, and I mean ALL when I say this, I would consider CuJo the worst. If you take away my animosity toward CuJo, he doesn't belong in this discussion.
All other things considered, including injury history, Cloutier "earns" this dubious distinction due to how poorly his stats compare even to the likes of Theodore and Denis.

yo suttercane whats the deal with bashin Conks.. the guy rarely plays but if uve seen the past two games hes played ehs faces a **** of alot of shots and has let in like three goals. Thats good for a backup who plays 10 games a season. Miller is by far not the worst. He is gowing thru a rough patch but he is also only a second yearer unlike alot of guys right now. Maybe a couplegames he didnt deserve to win but alot have been won becuz of him. And if u llok at it not alot of these goals are him being absolutley walked, there ussually tips or screens or Dimitri putting them in. Id have to say the worst is Nittymaki and esche. Ya the guys did make the olympics but even more of a reason to be good. a good goalie does good no matter whos in front. those guys did so bad it was a disgrace. thank god marty went there becuz he actually gives that team some hope between the pipes

I will agree that Cloutier is not the best in the league.
Kolzig is a great goalie, like others have said; he has a bad defence in front of him.
I would say, after winning the Hart trophy 4-5 years ago José Theodore has not been the same. He is now the most expensive backup in the league.
Aebischer is a colander lately, he wouldn't be able to stop a puck if it hit him in the mask. Robert Esche is just as bad. Martin Gerber is another goalie who is not earning his money. He has a great team in front of him and can't buy a win.

The worst goalie in the NHL is Antero Niittymaki of the Philadelphia Flyers. He has a horrific 9-28-9 record, with a 3.41GAA and .894 save percentage, with no shutouts, in 50 games for Philly this season. No starting goalie has worse numbers than Niittymaki this season. The only plus side is the guy went 3-0 this year against the Atlanta Thrashers, who were recently swept by the lowly Flyers this season in all four games, so everything I have just said does not apply to him against the Thrashers, but against everyone else, whom he has a 6-28-9 record this season. Antero Niittymaki is, by far, the worst goalie in the NHL this year.

Whoever is backing up Martin Brodeur is the worst goalie in the NHL!
Why? Well, if you saw that little game-play, you would suck too! I mean, that guy has to be colder than my ex-girlfriend! The ice freezes around that guy!
Every year, it seems to be a different guy and the same thing happens to him: he leaves and is never heard from again because he has forgotten how to be in a game!
In reality, he is probably not that bad of a goalie, but "if you don't use it, you lose it" as a goalie and he actually does have the worst job in the NHL... he simply never gets to play!

I would have to say Brent Johnson from the Washignton Capitals. 28 games 5-15-6. With Basically a record of 5-21 a .886 Save Percentage and a 3.70 GGA. Enough said worst goalie.

Olaf Kolzig is far from the worst starting goalie in the league and he won a Vezina not too long ago, the guy that wrote that is a but -head. Statistically Niittymaki, Antero who is 9-28 is the worst Kolzig is 21-21-6 on a young team so that idiot who wrote that knows nothing about hockey

i might ought to accept as true with anybody here by way of say Toskala. he's taken into consideration one of the worst goalies statistically in the NHL, he ought to maintain a slapshot to maintain his existence, and he has a good pastime in basic terms as quickly as a season. After watching this guy in the final 2 years palms down its Toskala.
