ah but not just any lie. You've just invented a whole new word for a special sort of lie.

A Phallucy (that's how I'd like to spell it) would be a lie about your sexual abilities or conquests, how many ninjas you could take in a fight, how popular and influential you are, or just plain old how big your nob is.

Maybe Phallacy, Phallusy... not sure. Hey, it's your word; you tell us how to spell it.

PS how do you spell nob? nob, knob or gnob?

PPS the "proper" word, fallacy, isn't just about lies. Fallacies are just as likely to be mistakes, ignorance or just plain thicko-errors, like Intelligent Design.

phallus = male part converted to asterisks by Yahoo!

fallacy = untruth, incorrect deduction, etcetera.

They have an accidental similarity in pronunciation, but no connection or similarity in derivation.

Fallacy. It's completely unrelated.

fallacy - from fallacious, or false. An idea that is untrue.

weld_eep ... to help answer your question, a "gnob" is slang for the "you-know-what" on a gnu.
