i love it , most of the music that i listen to is the likes of willie nelson, johnny cash etc, the old school stuff. i'm from northern ireland and its really big here, most bars have solo or bands playing country every weekend and line dancing is taken really serious here to.

Yes they do but you would have to consult Spun or its British equivalent for statistics - - - - what is funnier is that the Japanesse really dig Country Music and embrace its styles & clothing with amusing results, the Brits tend to be more restrained. A side note, American Bluegrass has many Celtic traits.

Yeah, im a brit and i think that American country is better, there arent many good british country singers....i guess its because country isnt that popular over here..or people just listen to the older artists.

They can have it. My hubby loves it, and the people I used to work with did, too. Some days it seemed a constant in the background.

I hate it. So when I can't concentrate on other things instead of the noise around me, I'm in a bad mood.

Oh my gosh.....DOLLY PARTON is our Queen.

there is a big group of us, who have dolly tracks on while we drive, and everytime we go out we always ask for 9 to 5......so much so, they did a dance version!!!!!!

she will be a key part of my friends wedding when we the bridesmaids do a dance off with a group of coldstream guards to one of her songs lol

It's not really popular in the UK but in Ireland it's popular with women of a certain age. It drives me mad when the women at work have it on the radio.
