How exactly do you claim to know that homosexuality is a conscious choice? Got any scientific proof to back it up?

It is the homosexual ACT that is the conscious choice. The desire may not be a choice. Sin is innate to us all, it is the choices that we make which determine our character.
Sometimes I have the desire to strike my boss, but I choose not to.
Sometimes I desire to sleep with a sexy guy who approaches me on the subway, but I choose not to.
Sometimes I desire to lie to avoid the consequences of some act I've committed, but I must choose not to for the sake of my character.

The same Bible book (Leviticus) that say homosexuality is wrong, also says that your wife is not to be in the house during her moon time. Since very few people can afford two houses, and since your supposed to treat your wife as your partner which means you can't make her sleep in the car. Only very rich Christians should even be getting married.

I don't think it is. If it were a conscious choice, there wouldn't be such a struggle w/ sexual identity and coming out. Why should anyone even have an opinion about someone Else's sexual preference? You sound pist, Don't absorb their venom, you've got enough to worry about. " F em if they can't mind their own " !

who cares? if they like you fine if not, who cares? U know they go by a book written by other people and are being controlled by these religious organizations so much that they are not capable of using reasoning. Reasoning so they can understand tolerance, diversity and acceptance of individual choices. But then, they claim to love Jesus, how ironic uh? go figure.

i'm religious. and yet i don't believe that it's a choice.
i believe that it's a choice to act upon or don't act upon it.
same with straight people..
no one can tell me that little children that 'end up being gay' and have known or felt like they were gay for as long as they can remember, are just making a choice.
i think it is genetically programed what you will be as far as your sexuality goes.
maybe in a small way it is a test from God wanting to know how they will handle it.. i dunno.
i hope that it was clear what i said.
i am a Christan. and you probably know how i feel about the subject, but i do understand why you would get upset to have people think (ignorance is what it is called) that you choose to be gay.
OK. enough rambling.
wait one more thing.. i think that people who 'claim' to be bi are full of sh it!!! you either are straight or gay.. anything else is confusion... plain and simple..
and beastiality..... that's just sick.. and pedophilia.. even worse.. but that's not at all about gay people.. it's about SICK people.. u see how people categorize... ignorance.

Actually I am religious but not anti-homosexual. You'll find if you look hard enough that a lot of churches are a lot more accepting of homosexuality than they used to be. I used to work in the national office of one of the Christian Church offices and the person who used to be editor of a nationwide publication within that office was openly gay and did the invetro and now have two children. Also the person who was our IT person was gay. There are now gay ministers and gays in the pulpit.
I have no problem with gay people.

I read about a man arrested after having sex with a dead deer.
And I read about many pedophiles... I don't understand
why some men have sex with little kids.
And a man cut off his private part to become a woman...
I just don't think God is happy about that.
I don't think God create pedophiles, transexual, trangender,
and people having sex with animals.
You can't tell me that a man who had sex with a dead deer and a dead horse, was born like that. Sorry...
