Without freedom rights are an oxymoron. the true question is rather why are so many people willing to sacrifice their rights which got into our legal system fron English Common Law and not from the bible for the "illusion of security"? See Escape From Freedom by Erich Fromme.

We, the American people are not giving up our rights. The suspicious Muslims who act like terrorists are. It's not like they deserved American rights anyway. Most of them are not American citizen's. America is in a war on terrorism, and to weed terrorists out, we must spy on those who are suspected of committing acts against our laws, for the sake of terrorizing us. If we don't, we die.

Would you please provide a source based list of rights that you have given up?
Again, no anti-Bush hysteria, but a list of rights and credible sources indicating the manner and date of their loss by the American people.
And feel free to take your time.

The only right we have lost, is not being able to call and talk to our terrorist friends, without being wiretapped.
I suggest that you just write them letters.
