There is no way to completely protect yourself from tanning in the sun. If you are ethnic you have more melanin, if you're Caucasian or mixed/ spanish, you might have less. Melanin is the pigment of your skin basically, the more you have, the more protection & usually the darker you are. The less melanin, the less protection you have & the lighter you may be. Tanning is never really suggest because the chance of skin cancer. One type of cancer is you can develop cancerous cells, that form a cancerous mole called Melanoma. The moles might not spread, but the cancer cells may. You should always protect your skin with SPF15+ sunblock or lotion. Tanning beds can be even worse because the UVA & UVB rays are almost directly exposed to you're skin. The most suggested way may be a self tanner, which is 100% healthy. You can buy one at a local drugstore and do it yourself, or there are even some spa/salons that do a spray tan. But make sure that you're not allergic to anything in the product.

If you exfoliate your skin and apply moisturizer that will help you get a tan instead of a burn, which is less damaging to skin. Although I'm not sure there is a safe way to tan unless it is a spray tan or one of those self-tanning lotions, but since your skin tans faster when moisturized, you will spend less time in the sun obtaining that tan, so it's better for your skin.

Your skin always gets damaged when you tan. And I'm sorry theres no way to speed up a tan.

umm thats not possible. Go to a salon and get a spray tan.

The sun will age & damage your skin....Period...
Use a chemical tanning lotion...

tanning oil would definitely work...just make sure you like coat yourself in it

not possible. just be pale. you may think its stupid now, but when you're 45 and look 35 you'll be glad you diddnt follow some stupid fad.
