Both are professional baseball teams from the city of Chicago. The Cubs, members of the National League, play their games on the north side of the city in Wrigley Field, and their team colors are blue, red, and white. The White Sox, members of the American League, play their games on the south side of the city in U.S. Cellular Field, and their team colors are black, white, and gray.

Both teams are among the longest running franchises in baseball, with the Cubs dating back to the 19th century and the Sox beginning in 1901. In 1906, the teams played each other in the World Series, with the Sox winning it. The Cubs then won the World Series in 1907 and 1908. Since then, however, both teams have had a history of ineptitude. The Cubs have not appeared in a World Series since 1945, and they haven't won it since 1908. This lack of success has led to the team's unofficial nickname "The Lovable Losers". The Sox had not appeared in a World Series since 1959, but they defeated the Houston Astros in 2005 to win their first World Series since 1917.

The fans' loyalties to the teams are traditionally split geographically. If you live on the North Side, you follow the Cubs. If you live on the South Side, you follow the Sox. A true Chicagoan does not root for both teams: you love your team to death, and absolutely despise the other one. On a national level, the Cubs tend to have a larger following. This is primarily because many of the Cubs games are broadcast nationally on the WGN television channel.

quite a few motives. The Cubs play on the North part, in an previous community, the place the home residences nearby have bleachers on their roofs to visual reveal unit the ballgames. The White Sox play on the southside, residing house of huge undesirable Leroy Brown, and so on. The Cubs have a cult following in spite of their no longer having gained in virtually a century. The White Sox have a lots smaller nucleus of followers who purely began popping out in tension in 2005 in the process the pennant run. In past years, the White Sox did no longer draw everywhere close to the form of followers that the Cubs drew. finally, the Cubs "colour" announcer is Ron Santo, a former Cub and between the biggest homers and cheerleaders in radio, yet nonetheless a manner or the different beautiful. The White Sox "colour" broadcaster is Ken Harrelson, former pink Sox and White Sox outfielder, who's as lots of a homer as Santo, yet is the two caustic and demanding without being in the slightest degree likeable. it somewhat is one outsider's view.

I would guess that this is a trick question -
There is not team called the soxs. Do you know the White Soxs?? See. There is no need for an "s" at the end.
Almost got me there!

One's from Chicago and the other one's from Boston...lol (Red Sox..lol)
One is in the NL and the other on is in the AL
One wins games sometimes and the other one plays baseball in Wrigley Field(although I think the Cubs will be a little better this year)
Lou Pinella manages one and someone else manages the other.
Alfonso Soriano is on one team and not on the other..lol
One team has not won the world series in almost 100 years and the other one has won the w.s in the past 5 years
