yes. My friend is white and her husband is very light skinned and half black. Their baby is darker skinned (yes, Im sure its his baby)

Of course! Just like a dark skin African American can give birth to a light baby. It is all in the genes of your ancestors and you have no way to predict.

Absolutely. The tone or shade of the parent's skin has nothing to do with it. The family tree does (genetics). I know of one couple who were - looked caucasian - both blond and blue eyed and they had a VERY dark skinned child. It almost caused a divorce till it was discovered there was african american in the father's background. The same goes for any race or mixture of races. genetics play a major role.

It's very likely, if you have ancestors who were/are dark skinned African Americans. It's all in the genetics.

Absolutely. Dark skin is actually dominant over light skin, I believe.

Well I'm dark-skinned and my fiance' is light skinned and we had a baby that was light-skinned. So I guess it goes both ways.

It depends on how his family genetics are and how deep his roots are you must be worried that your baby might come out to dark...get over it LADY!

Yes, but this should be the least of your worries. It shouldn't matter what color the child is. If you must, worry about it's health or something important.

If your parents or grandparents (or his) are dark skinned, it's very possible.
