Congratulations on asking a really good question.

Aside from the obvious...older, fatter, slower, grayer, etc...I have an entirely different outlook on life in my 50's than I did in my 20's. I used to be anxious about way too many things, from flying to planning a party. I used to care what my bosses thought of me on a personal level as well as what they thought about my work. I used to obsess about details of my appearance. I do none of these things any longer and am a much happier, saner and healthier person.

I'm more thoughtful and less impulsive. And when I make decisions now, I not only think about how they will affect me. I consider how they will affect the people in my life as well. I appreciate life and loved ones more and I make a point to let them know this. I understand that nothing in life is ever guaranteed and that I must be sure to be grateful for each day that I am granted.

im no longer obsessed about keeping up with latest fashion in clothes or the house.which makes me a more relaxed person.but i find i have become more choosy in the people i want to socialize with.if i dont like somebodys company.i dont see them.whereas before i used to see everyone out of some sort of feeling that i should.
i stopped trying to please everyone.although i am still scared of my dad..lol
