When i turned my computer on, the display was suddenly stretched out where i couldnt see parts of my desktop?

i went under monitor controls but it wouldnt reduce the size?
do i have some sort of virus or worm?
how do i fix this?

There is a menu in your monitor accessible by the buttons on your monitor. Find RESET and reset your monitor.
