hold a charge. What is making the computer over heat where the battery is and why wont it hold a charge?

Sounds like either a bad battery or your motherbourd is failing also laptop's usually run hotter than desktops because of the smaller size.

Sounds like the motherboard is going south. If it's still under warranty, back up your info and send it in for service. If the warranty is expired, back up your info and try cleaning the fans by using a can of air. You can also buy a cooling pad to help with the overheating, but again back up your info. FYI - on most laptops its the motherboard that charges the battery.

its greater effectual for the battery to bypass ineffective yet doesnt must be all the way i might exchange the brightness and assessment and close the workstation as quickly as each and every 2 hours to assist in making the battery final longer
