I think you can buy a product which will remove super glue once it has dried. Why don't you try getting in contact with the maker of the super glue and they will let you know. If it is an expensive carpet I would not try anything until you find out for sure what to use. I hear people saying cut it out, but then if your not careful the cutting could be worse that the glue.

Soak the object in warm soapy water if possible and try rubbing off as much as you can. Pour a little bit of acetone-base nail polish remover on a white terry cloth. Dab at the dried glue until it dissolves. Check on a hidden pice of carpet that it does not affect the colouring or the carpet fibres first. Hope this helps

I work in a factory that uses lots of super glue (CA cement). Anytime we get it onto a surface or on hands, we use Acetone to remove it. It works great. You can also use MEK. These are usually available in the painting supplies section of most stores (they come in a can). Be sure to test a small hidden section of the carpet first to make sure it doesn't distort the colors or fibers (like the corner of a closet). Be sure that the area is well ventilated. Also, these chemicals are all flammable until evaporated, so make sure there are not lit candles or cigarettes nearby.

I'm not sure if this will work, but try taking a hair dryer to the carpet to soften the glue then rub it out. Let us know what worked.

as super glue sticks imediately. so quickly place a pad soaked in cold water over the spot and the gum would come off.

squeeze lemon juice over the area and then wipe with a damp cloth. The acid from the juice will separate the fibres!!!
