I used to work at KFC, and believe it or not there isn't an secret. They just use regular season.

If everyone knew the secret herbs and spices, they would just make their own chicken at home, and KFC would go out of business. That's why they keep it a secret.

It doesn't matter because only two people know the true ingredients and spices, and those two only each know half and the other person knows half. This was said on a documentary once on the food networks show, how did they do that.
