the bottle is 32oz.
The only instructors it says is:

Cetane Boost 32 oz. Treats
3 Numbers.................100 gallons
6 Numbers...................50 gallons

What is the difference between 3 and 6 numbers? My tank is 22 gallons. So I should bring it to almost empty, and then put how much of this stuff in before I fill the tank?

My car also had this weird problem of the engine turning off when idle (radio stayed on). A guy suggested to me could be water deposits in the fuel tank. I got this cheap stuff called "Heet, gas-line antifreeze & water remover". The guy told me to put the bottle in the tnak before I fill it up for the next two fill-ups.

On the back it says 'do not use with 2-cycvle gas or diesel engines, use Iso-HEET instead" - what is 2-cycle?

my car 1991 mercedes 350 sdl.

Thanks appreciate any help_)

would it be in the manual on how to drain the water from the fuel filter?

Yeah I looked closely on the back of the HEET bottle it says USE WITH GASOLINE ENGINES. The guy at autozone seemed to know a lot about diesel i dont know why he gave me the wrong bottle then.

So as for the Diesel Kleen+ cetaine boost , go for the 3numbers (whatever that means) - a lower ocncentration. Says for 3 numbers 32oz. treats 100 gallons, so that would mean if my tank is 22gal use about 7-8 oz. of this stuff?

Have you noticed that an Owners Manual to every Mercedes car says: "Do not use fuel additives, they do not do anything and may damage the engine."
I tend to agree. There are additives for "every problem." If they worked, we would never had to FIX cars...

When in doubt ask a service station manager or a trucker. It has something to do with the fuel. I never use it.

2 cycle is chain saw motor and lawn mower motors that take a gas/oil mixture fuel. Those are the engine that are always blowing "blue" smoke. Also used on leaf blowers.

Get the Iso-Heet. Good thing you caught that.
Water deposits in the fuel tank....more likely that the fuel filter needs draining(water will be collected in there). Should be under the hood and have a little valve underneath which you open every 6 months to get rid of water that is in the fuel.

If you are uncertain then go for the lowest concentration as that will ensure you do not damage your fuel pump as that is an expensive repair.
