I know a woman who has Turner's syndrome, a chromosome disorder (complete or partial absence of the second X chromosome.) It was discovered when she got to be about 16 years old with no signs of puberty whatsoever. When the doctors discovered it, they put her on hormone therapy, which induced menstrual periods, but she never would have been able to become pregnant.

Well, if you are talking about starting it in general, they say you can start having your period at age17. that is the latest. But if you are talking about having a period, and then the next month not having one, it can be a sort of after math from an abortion. it can screw your system up REALLY bad. But if you haven't had one, your period is just sometimes late. Hope you can figure it out!

Yes, I have a friend whose sister never got hers. It is a sign of a reproductive problem which may or may not be serious. If you have reached adulthood and have not started menstrating, you should definitely consult a gynocologist to find out why. If you are still a teenager, you may just be a "late bloomer." Either way, if you are worried, go to your doctor to get a correct diagnosis.

Uh, yup. If that someone is male. In the case of women, I'd imagine that would only happen if the woman had health problems.
