start up a conversation? which is your best way to speak to someone you don't know? ain't sure if i worded that the best. x

I don't speak. I take a piece of paper, write 'hi' and leave it next to the guy!!!!

I usually start a conversation by picking an interesting topic that will make them think. Or we usually gossip about crap. That definitely keeps a conversation going.

just ask someone what they have been up to, have they had a good weekend? just keep it simple. talk about things you are thinking about doing like im thinking about going to watch a film and i would ask someone if they have watched anything recently that was any good. just things like that really and let the conversation lead itself

Talk about hobbies, what drinks, they like, age, college or work. Just general stuff, to break the ice. Good luck.

I usually ask a lot of questions...which then brings me to my most famous question: are you from_______? ( I can keep a conversation going for a pretty long time) {sometimes}
I used to be really shy, but as I got older I got a little more confident...just be yourself & it will come naturally! enjoy & have fun!

Something like..
"Hi, was just wondering.. (ask a question and go from there.)
or...
"Hi! My names (Your name) I just had to tell you that you have the prettiest eyes I have ever seen. (and go from there.) haha, that one was kinda cheesy.. or how about...
"Hey! My names (Your name) and then (comment on the weather.) haha, hope I helped kind of! :)

i rarely start a conversation with someone i don't know.
i am a socially inept and very very shy.
the best i can do is "how's it going?"
if it doesn't take off from there...then it doesn't go much further.
