My husband will be turning 31 next sunday. I can't think of anything good to get him. He likes indie music (but owns every cd of every band he likes and knows loads more about music than me). He plays and records his own music on the computer, plays drums, keyboards, guitar and bass but I don't know anything about his technical equipment. He studies birds for a living but that's all too technical for me and he has about 40 reference books on the subject already. We have every episode of Futurama on DVD as well as Roseanne and all David Attenborough's wildlife programs.

Any suggestions?

Instead of getting "things" you can maybe plan some hiking trips or go to some concerts. Most of the men don't care about "things" and having a great time is more fun. Also, he doesn't have to act like he liked the gift. It seems like he is a type of person who buys stuff if he wants something. So, just plan a day and surprise him with activities. Good luck.

Hmmmmm, a tricky one. What about just taking him away somewhere nice for a weekend? Seems to me like he's got plenty of hobbies, so at least you'd get to spend time with him too away from all his computer things and CDs.

Try this, two tickets to his favorite band, followed by a reservation in a 5 stars hotel to celebrate after the concert. I leave the seduction garments and maneuvers for your imagination.

I bet he hasn't got the new album by the Fray.
It's ok, bit soft for me as a 34 yo indie kid, but seems to be very popular - more for people who like Coldplay and that kind of thing.

A night in a posh hotel, a lovely meal, an early night and you in some sexy underwear.
