If you believe in heaven, then you believe in God that governs them.

An athiest is not having a religion either, its a way of thinking.

Because when a person is in the stage of dying (except instant deaths) and they are aware of it, its either fear or peaceful submission they are going through.

How does peace have anything to do with religion.

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."

Spoken by a "peaceful" christian.

I am an atheist and I have a tough time killing an ant. I feel peaceful when not antagonised.

Sorry I'm not trying to stir up the pot, I just get tired of people insinuating that all atheists are doomed to hateful, miserable lives that end in pain and alone, then our souls are doomed to burn for eternity just because we don't say aloud
"Oh Lord, you are the bestest in the world, thank you so much for killing your kid for us".
I don't think that a person should have to march to a 2000 yr old ritual to be deservant of a good life and love. If you want to see how loving and non-judgemental a person is.... get em drunk, you would be surprised to hear the filth and hatred that comes out of "good" christians mouths when their self control is removed.

*I reread.....I guess I am trying to stir the pot. Oh well, at least I noticed it.

First, jennyann, when i die, im not going to pray to some forsaken, non-existant corpse-god.

And sure, why not? There is nothing wrong with athiests, If they arn't bad people, they will probobly be admited to heaven, if there is one. So athiests believe in god, what have they done to deserve eternal damnation and all that crud?

Is that like being a pluralist?

Anyone can die peacefully if they choose to.

Like that whole "unfinished business" lot people keep mentioning.

the only way i know to die peacefully is if you die with peace in your heart and if you confess with your mouth that you are a sinner and you should say this prayer:
LORD JESUS, I COME TO YOU DESIRING YOUR LOVE.FORGIVE ME GOD OF ALL OF MY SINS. I REPENT AND SURRENDER MY LIFE TO YOU TODAY. I BELIEVE GOD YOU SENT JESUS TO DIE ON THE CROSS FOR MY SINS AND THAT HE RAISED FROM THE DEAD. I INVITE JESUS INTO MY HEART AND ASK HIM TO FILL ME WITH HIS LOVE, JOY, AND PEACE. GOD FILL ME WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT. IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I PRAY. AMEN.

They will die eventually, but in the meantime pray that they find enlightenment in a higher power.
