Well, look you can do as in the t.v. shows, it is like this, you start being kind, more that you actually are, raise your grades and obey your mother´s orders maybe she wants to give you a price for your work, during that days you also have to talk a lot like "casually" of what you want, let´s say the I-pod here is an example. Sitting down at the table, eating dinner you talk " Oh mom, did you see the fabulous I-pod Timmy had, it was just beautiful, it had a beautiful color " or other examples that make that your mother notice you want that I-pod. Maybe your mother already knows that method so, you can start saving money, when you are near to reach the amount of money you need for the I-pod you tell your mother," Mom, I have saved money to buy an I-pod, but I think it is fair you can help me to reach the amount I need for the I-pod" or something like that. That is a more fair option.

For the laptop, well in the precise moment when you mother gets angry or stressed about something with the desktop, you say, "You see mother, it is better buy a new computer." Now, another option is that you tell her, "OK mom, we are agree that our actual desktop is not the best, so, I propose you something, I give half of the money and you give the other half, we can get a new one and no more problems.

Good luck and I hope you can get your I-pod

Maybe she just doesn't have the money.. if she agrees the computer you have right now isn't the best.. i'm sure if she had the money , she'd get the best one there is..
Im in the same situation
Why not try investing for an mp3 player or ipod shuffle? And later on you can save for a laptop.. right now , at least you have a computer that works!

My grandma only handed off to have an unused vehicle sitting round, so that they gave me that for the summer. at the same time as camp ended and faculty began, they never requested for the vehicle back. i imagine at that factor they concept I had earned it- I worked the total summer with purely having some hours off at a time. It became nonetheless in my grandma's call even with the reality that- and it did get taken away for a week or 2 at a time when I were given in problem. I saved the vehicle till i became 22 and offered a sparkling (to me) vehicle.

So save your money and buy it yourself. The "I don't have a job" doesn't fly as even young teenagers can mow lawns or babysit for extra money.

You might be able to convince her if you get a job and you pay for it yourself. Also need to find a job because after this episode she will insist you get one.
