here is the best thing i have found to figureout just about 1/2 of what kids talk about lol anyway the answer is there check it out

I have never seen Grungecore as an official sub genre even though it could be. I have heard of Grindcore though. Grindcore is an offshoot of the death metal sub genre. Key bands in the Grindcore genre are Napalm Death, Brutal Truth, Carcass, Godflesh, Bolt Thrower, Anal ****, etc.

It's hardcore mixed with grunge.
